Open-hearth furnaces are widely used in the metallurgical industry for smelting of scraped metal and cast iron for steel production, and the burner device (BD) is the main furnace equipment. Effective operation of BD is directly depends on the quality of the delivered products.

 “SNT” Company (Stream-Niche Technology) provides a full range of commissioning services for the boiler on a turnkey basis. When the hearth burners are being replaced with modern SNT-type BD, our experts perform a full analysis of the boiler:

  • Analysis of the existing equipment and its condition;
  • Analysis of the existing burner during operation of the open-hearth furnaces;
  • Studying of aerodynamic flow structure of combustion products;
  • Selection of efficient equipment.

Upgrading of furnace burners is carried out by replacement of burners using the existing schemes of the existing auxiliary equipment (air input circuit, flue gas circuit, etc.).

The client chooses the required level of automation in the selection of equipment. The minimum level of security consists of the flame ignition and control unit. When the furnace with full or semi-automation is required, it shall be set in the specifications, and then our specialists will offer the most cost-effective option for the automated control system.

Upon the completion of the upgrading, the company's specialists provide consultations to the operating personnel on the operation of the upgraded furnace in correct and efficient manner.

  7. Increase of boiler turnaround time due to uniform heat load and short flame of SNT burners, which positively reflects on the lining and waterwall surfaces in its turn.
