Hot water boilers of KVGM and PTVM types are designed to produce hot water of 150 °C temperature in the heat and domestic hot water supply systems in separate boiler houses and in CHPs.

“SNT” Company (Stream-Niche Technology) provides a full range of commissioning services for a boiler on a turnkey basis. When the hearth burners are being replaced with modern SNT-type BD, our experts perform a full analysis of the boiler:


  • Analysis of the existing equipment and the boiler condition;
  • "Taking pictures" of the boiler operation;
  • Selection of the efficient equipment.


Upgrading of KVGM and PTVM-type boilers is carried out by replacement of burners and using the existing schemes of the existing auxiliary equipment (air input circuit, flue gas circuit, etc.). The aerodynamic conditions in the combustion chamber are also improved, resulting in higher boiler efficiency.

The client chooses the required level of automation in the selection of equipment. The minimum level of security consists of the flame ignition and control unit. When the boiler with full or semi-automation is required, it shall be set in the specifications, and then our specialists will offer the most cost-effective option for the automated control system.

Upon the completion of the upgrading, the company's specialists provide consultations to the operating personnel on the operation of the upgraded boiler in correct and efficient manner.

The vast experience of the SNT specialists demonstrates the following results after the upgrading:

  1. Burner turn down operation in the range of 10-100% and constantly high efficiency;
  2. Reduction of the specific gas flow rate for generation of 1 Gcal to 130.3 Nm3 due to efficient fuel combustion;
  3. Reduction of gross NOx emissions;
  4. Reliable boiler ignition owing to the possible sustained operation of burners at 3% level of design power;
  5. Improvement of boiler safe operation by the ability to operate the burners with excess air factor from 1 to 35.
  6. Improved performance: noise abatement, ease of servicing, setup and stable operation under the variable gas pressure;
  7. Increase of boiler turnaround time due to uniform heat load and short flame of SNT burners, which positively reflects on the lining and waterwall surfaces in its turn.


Based on the SNT burners, KVGM and PTVM-type boilers with different capacity were frequently upgraded. The example of KVGM-50 and PTVM-100 below demonstrates the before-and-after upgrading with positive feedbacks.
