Boilers

The transition from the district heating to the creation of local heating systems is one of the promising ways to reduce the cost of heating. The high-efficient heat-generating equipment was designed by the experts from NPA “LOTA” and “SNT”. It is a contact water heater. Serial production of the heaters with five typical sizes has been launched.

A contact water heater CVN (TU U 16289882.001-97) is designed for self-contained heat networks as a heat-generating device. CVN is a heat exchange flow apparatus. It means that the water is heated while its direct contact with the fuel combustion product (natural gas).

Qualitative cooling of the flue gases and their low outlet temperature provides high efficiency of contact heat exchange processes in a small dimension CVN. Furthermore, high values of heat availability factor are achieved. The temperature of the flue gases in the contact apparatus is lower than its dew point. It is a partial steam condensation generated in result of the oxidation of fuel hydrogen with release of a significant amount of heat. Therefore, the efficiency of a contact water heater at a low heat value of the fuel can exceed 100%. In addition, the condensed moisture remains in the circuit and compensates the leakages in the heating network.

A highly efficient rust preventer of domestic production is applied against corrosion of the equipment and pipelines in the CVN. The units are equipped with automatic rate meter of corrosion SIK-1 for ease of use. Operating experience of the contact water heaters shows that the corrosion rate doesn’t exceed 0.03 - 0.05 mm/year with usage of a rust preventer. Rust preventer flow is 50 ... 400 kg per heating season (depending on the capacity of the heating system, the presence of leakages, deterioration of pipes, etc.).

Lack of heat exchanging surfaces allows to refuse from the chemical water treatment that significantly simplifies and reduces the cost of operation of the contact units.

The water heaters are equipped with the automatic control system and actuators that ensure an automatic start-up and shutdown, automatic power control in a wide range, safe operation of the heater and performance of service functions that provide additional fuel savings.

Low concentrations of polluting emissions in flue gases and low specific fuel consumption in CVN can significantly improve the environmental performance of the boiler compared to traditional design boilers. CVN is characterized by a wide range of power control with efficiency saving, that allows to coordinate produced heat with the real heat consumption, thus entails additional fuel savings.

Boiler code (Rules of construction and safe operation ... Hot water heaters and water heaters with a temperature max. 115˚. DNAOP 0.00.-1.26-96) are not applied to the in-line heaters.
